Mammoth Jaw with Teeth Intact
Acquired for the Venice Fossil Museum, this Columbian mammoth lower jaw — with its teeth still intact — was discovered in less than 20 feet of water off the coast of Manasota Key, Florida.

A Mammoth Discovery
Among our most prized specimens is a remarkable mammoth tusk — one of the largest fossil acquisitions in the museum's history. This extraordinary piece offers a rare window into the Pleistocene era, when mammoths roamed the land that is now Florida. The tusk stands as a testament to the rich paleontological heritage of the Venice area and the importance of preserving these irreplaceable natural treasures for future generations.
